In order to close campus or delay opening campus after a holiday break, we need one or more of the following things to be true:

Thresholds to Close Campus (announced Dec. 6) Thresholds to Reopen Campus (as of Sep. 1)
K-5 on-campus participation
More than 50% of K-5 students (a) request to move to full distance learning as part of the regular questionnaire process or off-cycle; or (b) are required to move to full distance learning resulting from COVID test.

We have confidence that the majority of our families would participate in on-campus instruction. Note: Intentional differentiation between ELC and K-5
ELC on-campus participation
More than 50% of ELC students (a) request to move to full distance learning as part of the regular questionnaire process or off-cycle; or (b) are required to move to full distance learning resulting from COVID test.

We have confidence that the majority of our families would participate in on-campus instruction. Note: Intentional differentiation between ELC and K-5
Faculty-staff availability
The Administrative Team concludes that we have insufficient staffing to effectively carry out the blended academic model.

We have confidence that our faculty and staff are appropriately available to deliver the curriculum on-campus.
County Compliance (part 1)
There are multiple cases in multiple cohorts at a school or when at least 5% of the total number of teachers, students, and staff are identified as cases within a 14-day period, depending on the size and physical layout of the school (Pandemic Recovery Framework, p. 21).

100% of faculty, staff, and students coming to campus have reported a current, negative COVID test.
County Compliance (part 2)
25% or more of the schools within the region (i.e., public school district geography) have closed due to COVID-19 within 14 days (Pandemic Recovery Framework, p. 21).

We have assessed peer private and public campuses being open to avoid being an outlier.
Assessment of COVID conditions
The Administrative Team concludes that there is a strong rationale to close campus based on assessment of area COVID cases, transmission rates, virus surge, community concerns, and other COVID data.

Not articulated in the 9/1 decision-making framework
Notification
We have notified faculty and families if certain grades or students are unable to come to campus because we do not have COVID test results.

We have given a three-week notification to support faculty and family planning.
