Volunteering
Gifts of Time and Talent
Volunteers build our community and support our students every day.
".....VOLUNTEERING AT PBS IS A GREAT WAY TO ENRICH THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE, GIVE BACK TO OUR INCREDIBLE FACULTY AND STAFF, AND STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITY."
When your child joins PBS, you as a parent or guardian automatically become part of an important team on campus - The Phillips Brooks School Association. The PBSA is the schoolwide parent and guardian volunteer organization for PBS, uplifted by our core value of Community. Throughout the year, we organize activities to enrich the PBS experience for students, to build social bonds between families, and to support our wonderful team of faculty and staff. Those include the annual Fall Festival, faculty and staff appreciation lunches, literary celebrations on campus, community kindness volunteer initiatives, fundraising activities like the annual Spring Benefit, and so much more. The PBSA also provides a channel for parent feedback to the school for questions or matters of concern. You can give as little or as much of your time to the PBSA as you are able - any amount is appreciated - and there is always room for you! The PBSA is grateful for your partnership, dedication, and generosity. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact me or PBSA Vice President Brooke Heim.
Phillips Brooks School Association (PBSA)
For more than two decades the Phillips Brooks School Association (PBSA) has been an integral part of the school. The PBSA works not only with, but also on behalf of, all parents/guardians in an effort to build and support the school community.
Through the number of committees that make up the Association, parents/guardians can choose from a variety of volunteer opportunities according to their time and interests—from helping out in art or the library to being a birthday buddy to a faculty/staff member or coordinating the Literacy-palooza or fall family carnival.
Mission
To foster a sense of community, to inform parents and members of the community of PBSA activities, and provide support for the PBS faculty and administrative staff.
Membership
All parents/guardians of current PBS students are members. There are no dues for membership, and meetings are open to the entire PBS community.
