Kindergarten East

Hola, I am in Mrs. Cook and Ms. Petersen’s Kindergarten class. This week in Kindergarten, we did Math Workplaces. I did a pattern using bears. It was blue-yellow-blue-yellow. Have a fun Friday!

Kindergarten West

Hello, I am in Mrs. Tully and Ms. Steven’s Kindergarten class. This week in Art, I made purple with red and blue. I made pink with red and white. Then I painted. Have an arty Friday!

1st Grade East

Hi, we are in Mr. Shin and Ms. Faruqi’s 1st-grade class. This week in Science, we made oobleck. It is squishy and when you poke it slow, it turns into a liquid. When you poke it fast, it turns into a solid. Have an oobleck-y Friday.

1st Grade West

Good morning. I am in Ms. Doolin and Mr. Cruz’s 1st-grade class. This week in math workplaces, I made a real looking person out of pattern blocks. It looks kind of funny. Have a pattern Friday.

2nd Grade East

Good morning, I’m in Ms. Tachis and Mr. Taylor’s 2nd-grade class. During our connect with Ms. Knoth, we learned about games from around the world and created our own games, too. The game my friends and I created was called diamond hopscotch and it was so fun! Have a hopscotch filled Friday!

2nd Grade West

Good morning my PBS friends! I am in Ms. Samuelson and Ms. Kridel’s 2nd-grade class. This week in Art, we started painting. We made tints and shades of assigned colors. After we finished with our assigned colors, we started “free painting”. I started by making a splatter! Have an artistic Friday!

3rd Grade East

Ahoy PBS! I am in Mrs.Robinson and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. This week in writers workshop, we were drafting personal narrative stories. Our narratives are small moments that have happened to us in the past. We are adding descriptive words and senses, and working on becoming storytellers. Have a narrative Friday!

3rd Grade West

Hello artistic friends, I am in Mrs. McCarthy and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. This week in Art, we worked with paint, collage materials and chalk pastel. We made abstract art and tried to apply a mood to our paintings. I made a series of spider paintings to show confusion. After, our class shared our paintings with each other. Have a painting-filled Friday!

4th Grade East

Bueños dias!  I am from Ms. Diaz and Ms. Saeed’s 4th-grade class. This week in chorus, we have been working on solfège. Next week, while the 5th grade is gone, we will be auditioning for honor choir.  I hope to qualify and be able to go with Ms. Stephens. Thanks for listening and have a musical Friday!

4th Grade West

Hello. I am in Ms. Mauricio and Ms. Saeed’s 4th-grade class. In Library, we learned about California. We read about redwood trees in the book Redwoods.  In Separate Never Equal, we learned about Mexican American rights. It is very interesting to learn about California and what it was like before. Thank you for listening and have a historic Friday!
