Kindergarten East

Hello, I am in Mrs. Cook and Ms. Petersen’s Kindergarten class. Last week in Music, we stood on the risers for the first time. We practiced "The Red Sled" with Mr. Barbarino. Have a musical Friday!

Kindergarten West

Hi, I am in Mrs. Tully and Ms. Steven’s Kindergarten class. This week in Kindergarten, we made stories about what we like. I wrote about baseball. My story had three pages. Have writing-ful Friday!

1st Grade East

Hi, I am in Mr. Shin and Ms. Faruqi’s 1st-grade class. This week in STEAM, we did LEGO robotics. We got the robot to move. Thanks for listening and have a robot Friday!

1st Grade West

Good morning. I am in Ms. Doolin and Mr. Cruz’s 1st-grade class. This week in Writer’s Workshop,
we made invitations to our writing celebration for our parents. We decorated them by putting a snowman on the front. Hope you have a snowman Friday!

2nd Grade East

Good morning, I am in 2 East. This week we had the artist, Lexy Ho-Tai, visit PBS. To prepare for her visit we have been working on relief sculptures in Art class. Yesterday when she came we finished our sculptures, mine was mostly green!  Have an art-filled Friday!

2nd Grade West

Hello, I am in 2 West. This week in Language Arts, we were learning about folk tales. A folk tale is a story that has been passed on person to person for a long time. So far we’ve read fairy tales, fables, and tall tales. I think I want to write my own fable. Have a folk tale filled Friday!

3rd Grade East

Hello, I hope everyone is feeling alright today. I am in 3 East. In class this week, we made Wordles. A wordle is when you have one main topic to share about and you think of words that relate to that topic. Then, on your iPad you type in the words that you want and you can design the fonts, colors and shapes. For example, I chose Halloween for my topic. I picked words like “mad”, “cookies” and “dogs”. I think Wordles are really fun because when you are finished you can print out beautiful words for your topic. Have a word-full day and please keep spreading your kind words!

3rd Grade West

Good Morning PBS, I am in Ms. Kruger and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. This week in Art, we prepared for Lexy Ho-Tai’s visit to PBS by making a sculpture with recycled materials. We each made a cardboard structure and covered it with fabric mache (which is like paper mache but with fabric), then we painted over the tape used to support the cardboard. Have a messy, but artistic Friday!

4th Grade West

Hi, I am in 4 West. This week in Writing, we have been working on our realistic fiction stories. My friend and I have been working on a story about two brothers who go looking for their long lost dad.  He is writing the from the perspective of the older brother, and I am writing from the younger. I’m enjoying it because we get to collaborate, and we can have some parts of the story that are the same, while others are different. Thank you for listening and remember that you can write your own future.
