Kindergarten East

Hello, I am in Mrs. Cook and Miss Petersen’s Kindergarten class. This week in Math, we went to different workplaces to learn new things. My favorite was the pumpkins and bats on a fence. Have a math Friday!

Kindergarten West

Hello, I am in Mrs. Tully and Ms. Steven’s Kindergarten class. This week in Math, we did a lot of Halloween Math. I made a pattern with Halloween erasers. My pattern was: pumpkin, ghost, witch. Have a Halloween filled Friday!

1st Grade East

I am in Mr. Shin and Ms. Faruqi’s 1st-grade class. This week during Emotional Intelligence, we learned about flipping our lids. Your lid is flipped when you are angry or something doesn’t go your way. Have a flipped Friday!

1st Grade West

Good morning. I am in Ms. Doolin and Mr. Cruz’s 1st-grade class. This week in Music, we started to practice for the Winter concert. It is hard to remember all of the words, but I can do it. Have a musical Friday.

2nd Grade East

Good morning, I’m in Ms. Tachis and Mr. Taylor’s 2nd-grade class. This week in Science, we experimented with dry ice for Halloween. We put the dry ice into apple juice and it tasted really fizzy, like a freshly opened Coke! Have a fizzy Friday!

2nd Grade West

I am in Ms. Samuelson and Ms. Kridel’s 2nd-grade class. This week, we visited Rosener House. We shared what we are thankful for and made a gratitude tree with our Rosener House friends. I worked with a friend named Jean. Have a thankful Friday!

3rd Grade East

Hello my fellow PBS students. I am in Mrs. Robinson and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. This week in writers workshop, we have begun typing the beginning part of our pourquoi stories, specifically the exposition and rising action. We have been using our iPads to type them. My pourquoi tale is about why the sun shines. I hope you have shining Friday!

3rd Grade West

I am in Mrs. McCarthy and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. This week in Music, we learned multiple new notes on the recorder. I enjoy playing the recorder because I like making loud sounds, but it can be difficult because you have to be able to play a note without looking at the finger holes. Have a recording Friday!

4th Grade East

I am in Ms. Diaz and Ms. Saeed’s 4th-grade class. This week, we went to the Cantor Art Museum. My favorite part of the museum was a gate of bronze by Rodin. There were a lot of cool structures of the gate. Have a structured Friday!

4th Grade West

I am in Ms. Mauricio and Ms. Saeed’s 4th-grade class.  On Wednesday, we went to the Cantor Art Museum.  In the Asia section, my favorite thing was a dragon enclosed in a case.  In the description it said you could move its tongue and legs. Have a thingy Friday.
