Kindergarten East

Hello, I am in Mrs. Cook and Miss Petersen’s Kindergarten class. Last week in Science, we made squiddys. When you squeeze them really hard they go down. Have a squiddy Friday!

Kindergarten West

Hi, I am in Mrs. Tully and Ms. Stevens’s Kindergarten class. This week in Kindergarten we played on the white board easel. I drew Ms. Stevens. Have a draw-y Friday!

1st Grade East

Hi, I am in Mr. Shin and Ms. Faruqi’s 1st-grade class. This week, we had the Halloween parade. I was Naruto. I love Halloween. It was so fun. Boo! Thanks for listening and have a Halloween-filled Friday!

1st Grade West

Good Morning. I am in Ms. Doolin and Mr. Cruz’s 1st-grade class. This week in Spanish, we got to drink chocolaté. It was really good. Have a chocolatey Friday!

2nd Grade East

Hello, I am in 2 East. In Writing, we are in the planning stage of our Fictional Tales. We learned how to make our characters more interesting by giving them internal and external characteristics. My main character is a movie star who loves nature!  Have a writing-filled Friday!

2nd Grade West

I am in 2 West. This week in Spanish, we celebrated the Day of the Dead. This is a very popular celebration in Mexico and Central America. We had delicious bread and hot chocolate with Señora Englis. Have a celebrating Friday!

3rd Grade East

Hi, I am in 3 East. This week on Halloween, we colored white pumpkins with markers. I worked hard on my pumpkin to try to
turn it orange. We shared about our pumpkins and our artistic ideas. My favorite part was coloring! I hope you have a Halloween-y Friday!

3rd Grade West

Hello, I am in 3 West. This week we have been studying Native American tribes that lived in different regions of California. My tribe is the Mojave Tribe, who lived in the desert region. Something I have learned about them is that the chiefs had sub-chiefs who made speeches on top of roofs so everyone could hear them. Have a native Friday!

4th Grade East

I am in 4 East. This week we had our first chorus performance. We sang "Grizelda Was a Witch" and "Things that Go Bump in The Night". I really like chorus because it teaches us to work in harmony as a group and be confident when we perform. I think we did pretty well for our first time – and I can’t wait for our Thanksgiving performance! Have a musical Friday.
