Good Morning PBS, I am in Ms. Robinson and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. In Library connect, we studied artistic mediums used in children’s book illustrations. We learned how different mediums make us feel. We worked with pen and ink, water color, collage, gouache, colored pencil and digital media. My favorite medium we used was digital media. Have a great Friday!

3rd Grade West

Hi, I am in Mrs. McCarthy and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. This week we have been studying the Caldecott Award, which is an award for the best children’s illustrated book from the previous year. The class has been reading Caldecott books and taking notes of the title, illustrator, artistic medium and other details about the book. I’ve learned that it is very hard to select a book for the award because they are all so good. Have a great Friday and I hope you get the Caldecott award some day!
