Kindergarten East

Greetings, I am in Mrs. Cook and Miss Petersen’s Kindergarten class. This week in Kindergarten, we opened a post office. There are jobs selling cards and envelopes, selling stamps, stamping the mail, and delivering the mail. Have a fun letter Friday.

 

Kindergarten West

Good morning, I am in Mrs. Tully and Ms. Steven’s Kindergarten class. This week in Art, we picked words out of a pencil container and made pictures. I made a crazy camel! Have an art filled Friday!

 

1st Grade East

Hi, I am in Mr. Shin and Ms. Faruqi’s 1st-grade class. This week in Science, we smashed geodes and looked at crystals. We got to bring home the geodes. Have a rocky Friday!

 

1st Grade West

Good Morning. I am in Ms. Doolin’s and Mr. Cruz’s 1st-grade class. In Writer’s Workshop, we are writing fiction stories. I like thinking about the ideas for my story. Hope you have a writing Friday!

 

2nd Grade East

Hello! I am in Ms. Tachis and Mr. Taylor’s 2nd-grade class. In Language Arts, we are learning about countries. My country to research is Australia. I’ve learned that the center of Australia is the Outback where not many people live but lots of different animals live. Have a researching friday!

 

2nd Grade West

привет(pree-vyet). That’s hello in Russian! I’m in Ms. Samuelson and Ms. Kridel’s 2nd-grade class. This week we visited the PACE Gallery in Palo Alto. We saw a reindeer covered in glass balls. We found out that the reindeer was REAL! We thought that it was just made of wood. Have a crazy, artsy Friday!!!!

 

3rd Grade East

Hello PBS, I am in Ms. Robinson and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. This week in Science class, we started studying marine mammals. First we sorted cards with marine mammals into different groups, then we each got assigned an animal and went outside to draw it. I got a sperm whale, it was really big to draw! 33 feet long! I hope you have a marine mammal Friday!

 

3rd Grade West

Good morning, I am in Mrs. McCarthy and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. This week we have been learning about the Caldecott award and trying to convince our classmates on which book we think they should vote for. The book that I want to win is A Different Pond because it teaches kids about other people’s lifestyles. Have a book-filled Friday!

 

4th Grade East

I am in Ms. Diaz and Ms. Saeed’s 4th-grade class. This week in Music, we played acoustic guitar. We learned two chords called C and G7. We practiced by switching between the two chords while playing. Have a musical Friday.

 

4th Grade West

I am in Ms. Mauricio and Ms. Saeed’s 4th-grade class. This week in Science, we used flexible tubing to make loops. We tested if to see if a marble would go through the loop or stop before the loop. The greater the loop diameter, the further the marble would travel. Have a flexible Friday.
