Kindergarten East

Welcome to Gather. I am in Mrs. Cook and Miss Petersen’s Kindergarten class. This week in Kindergarten we made books. My book is about pumas and what they do. I am still working on adding every single thing I know. Thank you for listening and have the best Friday!

Kindergarten West

Hi, I am in Mrs. Tully and Ms. Steven’s Kindergarten class. In Kindergarten we are making books. My book is about going camping. I wrote three pages. Have a good Friday!

1st Grade East

Ni Hao! I am in Mr. Shin and Ms. Faruqi’s 1st-grade class. This week, Ms. Robinson’s 3rd-grade class came to read their pourquoi stories. My sister wrote about why the sky is so far away. Thanks for listening and have a story-filled Friday!

2nd Grade East

Hi, I am in 2 East. This week in Art class was our first time working with clay this year! I really enjoy working with clay because you can make anything you want. I decided to make a pencil and paper out of clay. Have an arty Friday!

2nd Grade West

Hello, I am in 2 West. This week in Music, we started practicing our Holiday song using our kazoos. We are also going to perform our song when we visit Rosener House next week. Thank you and have a kazoo filled weekend!

3rd Grade East

Good morning PBS. I am in 3 East. This week in Writer's Workshop we have been working on our
Pourquoi Tales. Pourquoi in French means “why”. I like writing these kinds of fictional stories because you get to make a story without a scientific explanation. My story explains why the sky is so far away with the characters The Sun Father, Sky, The Great Crow, The Villagers and the Great Crow Army. Have a writing filled Friday!

3rd Grade West

Yo, I am in 3 West. This week we finished writing our Pourquoi Tales, which are stories
about why something came to be. Yesterday, we shared our final drafts with the first grade class. My story is about why the ocean is blue, with a temperamental crocodile and a bossy bird as characters. I hope you have a good Friday!

4th Grade East

Hi, I am in Ms. Diaz and Mr. Smith’s 4th-grade class. This week in Science, we started to solve a mystery about why in the fictional town of Gray Area all the fish were dying out. We had to figure out which place was causing the problem so we tested different water sources like the rain, lakes, streams, and more to see how much acid was in the water. We took samples of the different waters. We dropped in the indicator and it changed colors. You could tell by what color it was, how much acid was in it. Red was 7, green was 4, and yellow was 6.

4th Grade East

Hi, fellow learners. This week, I did a play called Annie. I was the orphanage owner Ms. Hannigan. It connects to our most recent writing unit because it is Realistic Fiction, which means that something can happen but it didn’t really happen. I extremely enjoyed the play because it adds more to my knowledge of the performing arts and my storytelling. For example, my story is about an orphan and so is Annie. Thank you for listening. I hope you have a reenacting Friday.
