Kindergarten East

Hello, I am in Mrs. Cook and Miss Petersen’s Kindergarten class. This week in Kindergarten, we have been making a graph of our birth weight, length, and due dates. We also brought in baby pictures. We predicted when baby Cook will be born. Have a baby Friday!

Kindergarten West

Hello, I am in Mrs. Tully and Ms. Steven’s Kindergarten class. This week in Art, I made a cat stuffy. I used fabric and fluff. I made two cats, put fluff in the middle and stapled it shut. Have a project Friday!

1st Grade East

Hi, I am in Mr. Shin and Ms. Faruqi’s 1st-grade class. This week in Art, we choose art pieces that are going home and going to the Art Show. With a grown up, we talked about our art piece and how we thought about it. Have an artsy Friday!

2nd Grade East

Good morning, I’m in Ms. Tachis and Mr. Taylor’s 2nd-grade class. Yesterday we took a field trip to CuriOdyssey, a museum of science and animals like bobcats and river otters.  We went to a presentation by a zookeeper and got to see, touch, and smell animals like snakes, turkey vultures, and tortoises. My favorite was the ferret. Have a smelly and animal-y Friday.

2nd Grade West

Hello, I am in Ms. Samuelson and Ms. Kridel’s 2nd-grade class. This week the second grade went to CuriOdyssey. My favorite part was seeing the river otters because one of them came up to the glass and gave us high-fives! There was also a gigantic kaleidoscope. Have a cute and cuddly Friday!

3rd Grade East

Dia dhuit (Jee-ah ghwitch) or "Hello" in Gaelic. I am in Ms. Robinson and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. For the past few weeks in Library, we have been making poem anthologies. This is where we collect poems that we have been reading this year and make them into books. The hardest part for me is keeping the poems together because they fall off a lot. Have a poem filled Friday!

3rd Grade West

Bonjour! I am in Mrs. McCarthy and Ms. Kilsby’s 3rd-grade class. As you saw, for the past two weeks we have been working on Exclamation Mark by Amy Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld. How did you like it? We chose this story because it represents being yourself and not changing anything about who you are. We tried lots of books, but this one stood out best for Spirit Week. Have a YOUnique Friday!
