Kindergarten West

Hello, I am in Mrs. Tully and Ms. Stevens’s Kindergarten class. On Wednesday, we went to the
Palo Alto Art Center. We got to look at clouds made of paper and at the end we got to make sky art. Have a cloud-filled Friday!

1st Grade East

Hi, I am in Mr. Shin and Ms. Faruqi’s 1st-grade class. This week in Science, we played a game. I hid a bug while the other half of the class was in the garden. Then they tried to find the bugs. Nobody found my bug. Thanks for listening and have a crawling-filled Friday!

1st Grade West

Good morning, I am in Ms. Doolin and Mr. Cruz’s 1st-grade class. This week in Science, we looked at different kinds of insects. My favorite insect was the green shiny one. We also got to see a real-life tarantula. Hope you have a good Friday!

2nd Grade East

Good morning, I am in 2 East. This week we had author and illustrator Vera Brosgol visit PBS. Vera brought two different books that she wrote and illustrated - Leave Me Alone and The Little Guys. My favorite part was seeing a real little guy! Have a happy Fri-YAY!

3rd Grade East

Hi, I am in 3 East. This week author Vera Brosgol came to our school. We learned about the new book she wrote, called The Little Guys. She taught us about how she made her pictures with watercolor. My favorite part was seeing the picture of the little guy. Have a reading-filled weekend!

3rd Grade West

'Sup, I am in 3 West. This week in 3rd grade, Ms. Kinsman came to talk to us about our 3rd grade Monologues. She talked to us about emotions when you are presenting and how you should show them. The most fun thing that we did was play a would-you-rather game to put us in different scenarios for acting. I hope you have an acting Friday!

4th Grade East

Hi, I am in 4 East. This week in Global Citizenship, we just started researching the Gold Rush. We will be going to Coloma next week to learn more about the site that gold was first discovered in California. Did you know that gold was actually found a whole year before the Gold Rush started? Thanks for listening, and I hope you strike it rich!

4th Grade West

Hi, I am in 4 West. This week in Science, we had to make a motorized vehicle that moved across the floor without being pushed. This was fun and challenging because we had to make plans, but when building the plans didn’t always work. One thing I learned is that it’s not very easy to design a vehicle but eventually you can build something that works. Thank you for listening
