Spring Benefit 2021
Stay tuned for more information and the unveiling of this years theme, after the holiday break.
To the PBS community…
We are excited to announce that the Spring Benefit will remain online this year and with more time dedicated to planning this virtual event we are excited to soon share with you all our plans. As we have shared, the school relies on the proceeds from the Benefit to raise a major portion of our financial aid budget and to supplement our faculty support and development initiatives. And in the midst of a world in crisis, your support in these areas has never been more vital.
In these uncertain times, more of our students than ever before will require tuition assistance to continue their PBS journeys. All PBS families were chosen to be part of a community that stays together especially in the most difficult of times.
As we develop our distance learning program at warp speed, our faculty are facing challenges never before seen in the classroom (virtual or otherwise). With new teaching models come expanded needs for faculty development in facilitation of online instruction and materials, as well as personal support.
On behalf of the event co-chairs, the Advancement Team, and the Board of Trustees, thank you for considering supporting the Spring Benefit. We all know firsthand how difficult managing life during the shelter-in-place has been, and we are grateful for your time, attention, and generosity. Your participation at any level of this event means the world to us and to our students. So, again, thank you. You’re all stars.
What is the Spring Benefit?
Our annual Spring Benefit is a community-building event that brings together PBS parents, faculty, and staff. With the support of a dedicated team of volunteers, we celebrate our culture of giving and invest in specific strategic priorities for PBS. Funds raised through the Spring Benefit are directed toward our school's two biggest priorities, our students and our faculty:
- Each dollar given toward Fund-A-Student or pledged during the evening paddle-raise will help fund next year’s financial aid budget, allowing us to make the full cost of attending PBS affordable for a wide array of families and helping to build the inclusive community we all treasure.
- All other net proceeds from the Benefit go toward next year's faculty salaries, benefits, and professional development, helping PBS to offer competitive compensation packages and to attract, retain, and develop exceptional educators.
