About Me

I have been a teacher at PBS for over 20 years and have loved every minute of it. Prior to teaching at PBS, I taught in San Luis Obispo for about a year. From there I moved to the Bay Area and enjoyed a 1--year career in banking as an operations manager for a major bank in San Francisco. I also worked in their customer service training department and in marketing. Around this time I had my son and I decided to put my career on hold for a few years to raise him.

When my son entered elementary school, my love of teaching began to pull at my heartstrings, and I began substituting at local schools in the Bay Area. One thing led to another and I eventually found PBS!

My favorite thing about PBS is... our students. They come running to school each day bursting with excitement and ready to learn new things, work and play with their friends, and explore their interests. It is a child-centered, kind, and caring community that promotes character development and academic excellence.

I chose to work at PBS because... of its faculty and administrators. We are kind and caring professionals, dedicated to our students and their families. We are a collaborative, productive, and supportive team who push each other to be our best selves each and every day.

One or two things you might not know about me are... I love living in the Bay Area and take advantage of what it has to offer, from hiking the hills, to spending time at the beach, it is a wonderful place to live and work. I am the proud mom of my son Scott, who currently works and lives in the Bay Area with his wife Shannon. Spending time with family and friends is my joy!
