Ms. Puja Batra

Board Information


Puja joined the Board in 2019, and is a member of the Governance Committee and the Finance and Investment Committee. She is an active classroom volunteer at PBS, and formerly served as Treasurer of the Phillips Brooks School Association and room parent. She grew up in the Bay Area and holds a B.A. in Economics from U.C. Berkeley and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was a primary editor of the Harvard Law Review. Following a judicial clerkship at the federal district court in Los Angeles, she spent nearly a decade as an employment litigator, primarily representing employees in wage and hour and discrimination cases. Most recently, she served as a legal counsel to Aspire Public Schools, a large non-profit charter management organization, advising on employment, education, and contract-related matters. Puja and her husband have one current PBS student (’24) and one alum (’20). She enjoys golf, skiing, politics, everything about watching and playing tennis, and is extremely competitive about ping-pong.
