Ms. April Asuncion
The one thing I’m most looking forward to about working at PBS is... the new onboarding and mentorship program led by 25-year veteran teacher, Dana Doolin.
I chose to work at PBS because... of the diversity and teaching teams.
One or two things you might not know about me are... I am a Bay Area native but I have also lived in China and Australia.
From the announcement of April Ascuncion as 2nd-grade Lead Teacher, in June 2021:
April Asuncion joins us as 2nd-grade Lead Teacher. April has most recently worked at Yew Chung International School - Silicon Valley as a 2nd Grade teacher since 2017. April completed her studies in education locally in California, at University of California, Irvine, then going on to earn her Master's degree at Loyola Marymount University. April has also spent time living in China and Australia, and she is very excited to delve into the new PBS onboarding and mentorship program for new faculty.
