Students singing, sharing, and playing instruments at PBS

PBS is more than a school. It is a place of discovery, transformation, and reflection. At PBS we nurture and challenge our students to become their best selves. Each day at PBS is an opportunity for our students to shine in the best possible environment conducive to learning. We encourage our students to be courageous learners and remain curious in their journey. PBS respects each child’s learning, interests, family, and development.  Our warm, welcoming environment offers a low student-to-teacher ratio and provides students the opportunity to reach their fullest potential and to cultivate a community of kindness.

At PBS, you will find an unwavering commitment to…

hi I'm Marcelino Perez. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and have worked at Phillips Brooks School for the last 7 years as a teacher in our Early learning center. I love the PBS community and I feel it is what makes our school unique. When not at PBS you can find me coaching or out hiking. Looking forward to spending time with everyone!

I have worked in independent school admissions in the Bay Area for twenty years. My love of learning has motivated me to remain curious and seek opportunities that help expand my perspectives. I have witnessed, first hand, the curiosity that PBS students possess and the teachers that nurture them in and out of the classroom. I feel blessed to be in a community of learners committed and motivated to learn and push themselves outside their comfort zones. I look forward to partnering with you in support of your family's search process.
