Update for families applying for the 20-21 or 21-22 school year:
In order to maintain the health and safety of our community and to ensure that you have an informative and inspiring introduction to PBS, we are reimagining our admission process for the 2020-21 admission season. We want to be sure that your family receives the same highly personalized attention that we have always prioritized for our applicant families. We ask for your understanding while we take on this challenging endeavor.
While we understand that finding the right school for your child can be overwhelming and living in this uncertainty is an added layer of stress, we want to assure you that we are committed to partnering with you as you begin the independent school application process.
As you wait for the application season to officially open on August 1, 2020, we suggest you spend some time learning about our program and school through our website, in particular:

Every day at Phillips Brooks School, I am truly fortunate to witness our distinctive approach to the joyful and meaningful development of children’s cognitive and social learning. My hope is that you will explore PBS and soon discover what all of us here know and love about our school.
PBS is a place of inspiration. We create the extraordinary every day by passionately pursuing core teaching beliefs that set us apart. We guide children to cultivate their individual talents, explore, and dig deep while working and reflecting together. In the process, children at PBS discover their best selves. They flourish.
Meet the Team
Director of Admission
I’ve worn almost every hat at PBS except Head of School – so far, anyway ;). PBS has been my second home since 2002, when I started as a 3rd-grade assistant teacher. Since then, I’ve been a lead in 3rd and 4th grades, a substitute teacher, a learning specialist, a long-term librarian substitute, the educational technology and innovation specialist, and now the Director of Admission. Most importantly, I’m a parent of two PBS alums in the Class of 2017 and 2020. It’s obvious that this place has become part of who I am, and I am thrilled that I get to share my love of PBS with so many prospective families.
I look forward to fulfilling my passion for connecting students and families to a place they can feel supported, loved, and encouraged throughout their journey at PBS. As it will be my first year at PBS, I am most excited about witnessing the joyful experiences students share and the school's unique focus on student's character and emotional development.
