The purpose of homework is to:
- Help students develop responsibility and organizational skills
- Create good work habits
- Reinforce concepts already covered in class
Independent reading is included in the homework time expectation. Homework
will be differentiated to be appropriate for the learning needs of
individual students. This means that a student should not have a total
homework time that is significantly more than those outlined below:

Assignments should be clearly explained with reinforcement for students
having difficulty with daily assignments. Parents should receive regular
feedback on student's success with meeting daily criteria. Homework and
other assignments will be corrected and returned promptly.
