The PBS Early Learning Center is a Reggio-inspired early childhood program for children three to five years old. Children turning age three by September 1st are eligible to join our Preschool program, and those turning age four are eligible for our PreK program.
Our Kindergarten through Fifth Grade consists of two homeroom classrooms at each grade level. Each homeroom is designed for 20-21 students with one lead teacher and one assistant teacher in each Kindergarten and First Grade classroom; in Grades 2-5, each homeroom features one lead teacher and an assistant teacher who works with both homerooms in the grade. A literacy specialists works with students in grades K-2 and a math specialists works with students in grades K-5. These specialists collaborate with lead teachers in planning meaningful lessons for their students.
Kindergarten through fifth grade students are assigned to homeroom classes where they delve into the world of core subjects such as Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening, Mathematics, and Global Education. Resource specialists teach art, library, music, physical education, science, technology and Spanish.
